About Us

The Honor Society of Cinematic Arts is the only nonprofit honor society dedicated towards promoting and celebrating excellence in film production and education at the high school level.

A strong film program grows students’ communication, organization, and leadership skills, shaping them into thoughtful, competent adults–regardless of whether they plan to pursue filmmaking beyond high school.

Benefits

In addition to gaining access to the same educational resources student Members receive, Chapter Directors, the educator(s) who supervises their school's HSCA Chapter, gain access to a library of exemplary student film work, an innovative Chapter management software, and many other resources.

Chapter Grant Initative

We vehemently believe that filmmaking should be accessible to all students; no school or student should be excluded from the opportunity to join HSCA simply because of financial barriers. If your school is unable to afford our annual dues, or if your school serves an underrepresented or special needs community, you may be eligible for our Chapter Grant Initiative. Learn more here.
